Chandrababu Naidu, in his recent speech, confirmed that the state is finalising the implementation of the Aadabidda Nidhi Scheme, a flagship programme under the “Super Six” promises. Under the scheme, eligible women will get ₹1,500 per month directly into their bank accounts. The announcement has been widely praised for its promise of providing sustainable financial assistance to lakhs of women across the state, thereby reducing financial stress and strengthening household security.
Aadabidda Nidhi Scheme – Direct Financial Assistance to Women
The Aadabidda Nidhi Scheme has been designed to act as a monthly assistance mechanism for women from poor and middle-class families. With a deposit of ₹1,500 every month, the scheme ensures a steady stream of income that can be used for household needs, children’s education, healthcare and other essential expenses.
By focusing on women, the scheme seeks to empower mothers and housewives, recognizing their crucial role in family welfare and social development. The approach will not only provide immediate financial support but also contribute to the long-term empowerment of women in rural and urban households.
